Cactus LLC builds hardscape for homes and larger private properties in and around Snohomish, Washington: paver patios, retaining walls, walkways, steps, drainage and grading, and the base preparation and compaction that keep them sound through wet seasons.
Tino Mejia, the owner, walks every property before a number is quoted. He has worked in the trade since 2011.

We do not publish package prices: scope, access, soil and drainage set the number. The budget ranges on the walkthrough form help Tino prepare for the visit. They are not quotes and do not set your price; your price comes after Tino walks the property.
Retaining walls
A retaining wall on a Northwest property has to manage slope, water and load. Base preparation, drainage and compaction are part of the wall, not extras added later.
When you request a walkthrough, tell us the approximate height and length, the material you have in mind, and what sits above and below the wall.
Paver patios, walkways and steps
A patio, a path or a set of steps lasts only when the base is right, so base preparation and compaction are standard on every one. Send photos and the approximate size when you write.
Drainage and grading
Standing water against a foundation, a soft patio base and a wall with nowhere for water to go are where hardscape fails. Drainage and grading are part of our hardscape work where the site needs them, decided on site against the real grades.
Recent work
Stacked stone along the fence line
A long cedar fence ran along a bare strip. The crew set a dry stacked stone border with new shrubs and a bark bed to give the fence line a base. The photograph shows the border in progress.
